Hello and welcome to our page. This year the staff in Nursery are Mrs Wheeler (Class teacher) and Mrs Richardson (EYS).
As we settle more into the Primary Writing Project, the children will gain confidence with a range of stories. Continuing the Autumn term our story is The Little Red Hen. We have an exciting range of activities to complete with the children about these stories including making bread, making and decorating the characters and drawing story maps.
In maths and phonics this term we are going on sound walks and getting to know our letters and sounds. We will be learning to count and order objects to 20 and our daily routine.
We will continue to attend the library once a week to choose stories to take home. We encourage the children to choose their own books and for you to read them together at home. This will in the future link to the Read Every Day awards that are run throughout the rest of the school. McKee attend the library on a Wednesday morning and Ahlberg attend on a Thursday afternoon.
PE will be done on a Friday- we request that children come to Nursery in tracksuit bottoms on a Friday and a white t-shirt so they are ready to do PE and don't have to worry about getting changed. They also need suitable footwear such as plimsolls or trainers. As we move into the summer months we may begin to do PE outside- please ensure your child has trainers on every Friday. Within PE we will be completing yoga to link to good mental well-being and trying to climb on apparatus.
If you have any worries or concerns, please speak to Mrs Wheeler or Mrs Richardson straight away so that we can solve any problems you or your children may have.
